Teach Me

Tutoring for kids · Math first

Math that meets your kid where they are.

Teach Me checks where your child is in math and gives them work that fits. When they get stuck, they get a hint, then a second try. The level moves up as they do.

Takes about 10 minutes. Nothing here goes on a report card.

How it works

Start in ten minutes.

1

Tell us who you are

Name and grade. A parent can add a reward. That is all it takes to begin.

2

Take a short check

Eight questions. Get one right and the next is a little harder. Miss one and you get a hint and another try.

3

Work at your level

Teach Me picks your first week of practice from what the check showed. The level moves as you do.

When you get stuck

A hint, then another try. Never the answer first.

Most apps mark it wrong and move on. Teach Me stops. It gives one hint, lets you try again, and gives a second hint if you need it. You only see the worked answer after that. Solving it yourself, even with help, is what makes the method stick. That second try is where muscle memory comes from.

7 × 8 = ?

Hint 1

Close. Try 5 × 8 = 40. Then add 2 more 8s.

56

Yes

That's it. 40 + 16 = 56. Next one is a bit harder.

It grows with you

From counting stars to solving for x.

Each level ends with a mastery check written like a real test. Pass it and you move up. Miss it and you get more practice at the same level, with the hints getting shorter each week. Nobody sits on work that is too easy, and nobody gets lost on work that is too hard.

Motivation

Set the prize before the lesson. Earn it at the end.

Working at the right level takes the frustration out. It does not always supply the push. So a parent sets a reward before the work starts. The kid sees it the whole time, and it unlocks when the work is done. Small prizes for small jobs. Bigger ones for a test or a whole grade level.

For kids

One assignment
20 minutes of screen time
Or an ice cream after dinner.
A mastery check
Pick Friday's movie
Or five dollars.
A whole grade level
A toy, a gift card, or cash
You choose the prize. They choose to earn it.

For parents

  • Less struggle at the tableThe work fits, so it gets done without the meltdown.
  • Mastery you can seeEvery level ends in a check written like the real test. You see it passed.
  • Grades and test scores that moveGaps get filled in order, so what shows up in class finally sticks.
  • Rewards you controlYou set the prize and the size. Teach Me only decides when it has been earned.

The check, the hints, and the mastery loop work the same way in every subject. Math is live now. The others come next, in this order.

For parents

Questions parents ask.

How long is the check?

Eight questions. Most kids finish in about ten minutes. It can be taken again any time.

Does it just give the answer?

Not first. A hint comes first, then a second hint. The worked answer only appears after your child has tried again.

What do I get to see?

What your child practiced this week, where they got stuck, and what comes next.

Is the level a grade?

No. It only decides which work your child sees, and it moves up as they do.
